DOWFROST™ inhibited propylene glycol (PG) is a best-in-class, food-grade thermal fluid for a wide range of heat transfer applications. DOWFROST™ is comprised of ~96% propylene glycol and 4% corrosion inhibitors to protect and extend equipment life.

All ingredients have been classified as GRAS (generally regarded as safe) by the FDA and are approved as direct food additives as well. DOWFROST™ is the industry standard thermal fluid for food processing applications.

DOWFROST™ exhibits effective heat transfer from -50°F to 250°F (-45°C to 120°C) and can offer freeze protection or “burst protection” down to -60°F.

DOWFROST™ is made from Dow PuraGuard™ Propylene Glycol USP/EP, monopropylene glycol for the highest quality and longest lasting performance.
